Justice-Focused
Learning Community
Fighting isolation and polarization with authentic community.
A diverse learning community committed to diving into provoking texts that challenge assumptions and inherited beliefs which prevent us from living the brave, fully embodied, authentic lives we long for. Sometimes we have snacks, but we always celebrate birthdays without exception. Everyone participates together; men, women, nonbinary, young, not so young etc.
By engaging with texts written by authors from underrepresented backgrounds, the voice and perspective of those who have been marginalized is centered. In our discussions we grow in our own discipleship as we learn to listen as well as share our thoughts with others. We value and respect each person and know though experience that without each person showing up as themselves and offering their contribution, we all lose.
We know it can be hard to jump in with a group of strangers but in a short time those strangers will become friends. If you think you may be interested, send us an email or message us on Facebook so we can figure out how to make the move a bit smoother.
